Thanks for this video as it has really helped me with setting up my APN. I am having problem setting up my samsung galaxy note i717 that I have unlocked for use Straight Talk network. For some reason, I can’t edit the APN. When I click mobile settings, the APN shows AT&T but with fields set in a way that I can’t edit them. Can you or anyone help me configure this problem?

Do not give up your Unlimited plans if you have one. It is no longer offered. If you buy the phone from AT&T they will make you purchase another plan. If you buy the phone elsewhere (it will be expensive), you can unlock the phone and still use it on ATT with your current plan, i.e., unlimited plan – as long as you enter the settings in the vid.

I now have the Galaxy Note (AT&T version). I also have an unlock code that I plan to use tonight. Meanwhile, I called AT&T earlier today and found that they are liars. The lady told me that it was impossible for me to take my SIM out of my current HTC HD2 unlocked phone (was used on AT&T) and put it into the Galaxy Note (AT&T branded) and get 4G.

Continued.. Well, thanks to the video maker here, I tried adding the settings noted above into my AT&T Galaxy Note phone and it worked. The top left indicator shows “ATT” and on the right side I can see a 4G symbol. So these settings work for the International, and AT&T branded Galaxy Note phones.
